Long time listener first time caller
« on: Tue, 20 September 2016, 08:33:55 »
Hello,

Finally decided to make an account here because well i need moar keycaps! Currently trying to decide if my next keyboard should be a 75% or a TKL both are really appealing either way it will be rocking 65g Zealios. Currently i have a Planck with MX blues and a WASD Code with MX Greens.

Welcome!

Either way they provide the same functionality really, so it's more about whether or not you want something a little more compact. Good choice on the switches though typing on them as we speak!

Well thanks for the info, I can definitely say that i need arrow keys and Home, Delete, Pg up and Pg Down. I'd like to retain the F row but i'm slowly making may Planck a macro board so it could take the place of the F row

Welcome to wallethack :)

A TKL sounds like the perfect addition to your collection, a 75% you really need to give it an actual try since the keys are too packed together (especially the arrow). I'm a heavy arrow user as well and I find the arrows on such 75% board is hard to adjust

My major concern on this is actually the shift key. I usually reprogram Caps Lock as control and heavily use the right shift when i'm not gaming. My question is how hard is it to get used to a 1.75u shift key?

1.75u shift key still has quite a bit of room for key presses. If you naturally press in the center or left corner of a full sized Rshift you probably won't have to adjust to compensate for the smaller size. Would only be a problem if you press near the right edge of the key afaik.
