IBM Model F replacement springs
« on: Mon, 13 February 2017, 03:34:03 »
Help need folks.

Just go an IBM Model F XT and a few of the keys feel a bit "off" as in I dont think the spring is buckling properly etc.

Is there a place where i can get replacement springs?  or try to fix so its sounds a bit more pingy or buckling? my guess is the springs are out... I think...

Replacing springs is quite tricky.

More likely, the key stems are not seated properly in the barrels. Pull them out and re-seat them. Sometimes it takes multiple tries, and it may help to stand the keyboard up on edge (front or back) so that the springs flop forward or back when you re-insert the stem.

They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.

How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."
