Hello, Geekhack!
« on: Thu, 07 May 2020, 06:28:00 »
Hello there!

I'm pretty new to the keyboard scene and like quite a few of the other new users here - I've done plenty of lurking and researching and would like to join the journey to the ways of the keebs.

Due to the Coronavirus quarantine effective in late March here in NYC and and sheer boredom, I find myself researching and trying to understand the appeal of mechanical keyboard past mass-production pieces. Fast forward to today, I've been bitten by the keyboard bug! I've jumped in on some groupbuys, purchased some artisans, and even bought all the supplies to build my first soldered board  ;D I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm with all of you and hope all of you are staying safe and healthy!

Welcome :)

What board are you building?

My first build is going to be the ID80 from Drop in grey with 67g Zealios V2. I plan on lubing and filming the switches to get an understanding of how to get it down-pat. As for keycaps, I'm debating on either SA Chronicler or DSA Penumbra.

As for the groupbuys, I went a bit ambitious and put myself down for the 7V and the Rukia PC R2.
