Recommend Me a Board
« on: Fri, 01 July 2011, 21:23:12 »
So, I have a $125 (USD) budget, and am set on a board with blues, and is tenkeyless. I was thinking about ordering a Leopold from EliteKeyboards, but I don't really want to wait until the 14th (but I will if I have to). I was thinking about a choc mini, but I've heard there might be build issues and that they're kinda uncomfortable for those of us with large hands.

So, any other options?

EDIT: at least 6kro is required too

If it's a tight budget and you can't squeeze 20 more bucks for a Filco the Leopold is a great option for you.

Go with the filco, or a ducky.

Well, qtan told me that Ducky tenkeyless (1087) is out of stock everywhere.  Spend a little more and go with a Filco.  That's what I would do anyway.

Get 10 Logitech keyboards. This way you have a keyboard on every desk and have backups in case one failed.

J/K, just get a Filco tenkeyless - end of story.

Not sure if I have to pay tax on the filco, I live in Washington (state) so I have to pay nearly 10% sales tax on everything I buy from amazon Q_Q.

Edit: but of course, all the filcos with blues are out of stock there as well........Might as well just wait for the leos at this point

On further reflection, I think I might just grab a choc mini here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Noppoo-Choc-Mini-84-Mechanical-Cherry-MX-Blue-keyboard-/120738959835?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D4%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D1049784206875798568#ht_2306wt_1139 I am a fan of small layouts, as I will be toting the board between home and school, and nkey over USB is pretty nice too (I never use macs) Anything I should know about the choc mini before I pull the trigger?

^ Why don't you buy it from qtan's thread?  He has the Choc Mini blue listed for $76.22.

The filco is a bit more than a little more at double the price, can the feel really be that much better?

Just realized I should wait for the Leos, just because of warranty.

Thanks everyone.
