I just received my realforce 86u, and I must say it is exactly as you guys said it would be the feeling under the fingers kinda is underwhelming and not so special compared to going from a rubber dome to a mechanical keyboard. I'm feeling like it is much smoother and dare I say less demanding as an input device.
As I'm writting more and more I'm getting to know how the feeling of the different key change depending on their position on the board. I don't know if that will actually affect my endurance as a writter but it sure does feel fancy to have different weight on the keys.
I'm in love with the small form factor, it does makes my desk look much bigger and dirtier as my old steelseries would hide all the gunk from my eyes. I will definitely have to clean up my desk as a welcome to this new member of my family.
I must say that the build quality is very impressive and that I love the aesthetics, the sound is quite pleasing and it makes for an very elegant typing tool. I get the feeling that keeping it clean will be much easier than keeping my Das Keyboard clean.
As I'm writing these words I'M getting a feel of what the "topre fart" is all about and it does not sound annoying to me at all. In fact I like it because it differentiate this keyboard from other keyboards I encounter. At least I know that there is something speacial when I write on it *-)
I feel like the typing experience is a little more refined on this keyboard compared to my Das Keyboard, the feeling is smoother and maybe a touch easier the hand. The way the letters are printed on the keys (sublimation I think) makes them super smooth under the fingers which is quite enjoyable.
Now I just need to order the full-sized keyboard, the red escape key, blue wasd, the numpad and I will truly be fullfilled
