Choc Mini & Numpad together
« on: Tue, 20 December 2011, 18:22:09 »
I own a Noppoo Choc Mini, which has an integrated numpad laptop style across the right side of the 890uio etc.  Its not very functional to use so I want to get a separate numpad for those times when i need to do a long number entry.  However im not sure if there is a specific type of numpad out there i need to get that always works even if numlock is off.  If numlock is on, i cant type/use right half of keyboard due to the mini nature of the board...So is this just something i should solve with AHK or is there a hardware solution out there as well?

Thanks!

There are numpads that send make/break numlock with every keypress.  These would be compatible with the noppoo.  This thread has my AHK script for numpads that don't do that.

Buried in some wiki somewhere is probably a list of numpads that do the numlock dance.  Here is a previous thread with some links.  Here is the Kinesis version (that I thnk is also branded as Addesso elsewhere) that I have heard does the numlock deal.
