[WTB] Cherry MX Switch Stickers
« on: Thu, 24 January 2013, 12:23:35 »
I'm pretty new here and I know these are pretty hard to come buy, but I thought I'd put it out there anyway.

I'm looking for the following:
   - Red (for Phantom)
   - Green (for GH 60)
   - Blue (for Pure)

According to Demik's Original Group Buy, they come 120 to a sheet and they came in Red, Yellow and Pink. Is this only source for these?

Thanks in advance!

The original colors from Demik's groupbuy were only yellow, green, red, and pink. But I think a member here might be in the works of producing his own stickers; in orange.

I do not think these are the original colors.  I hope OP is interested in Blue Green Red White Black (i made a bad choice here)!

I was also looking at making more. But I still need to get either a high quality scan, one sample sheet, or the vector image used when these were made. I own a vinyl cutter with decent plotting software and could easily produce these in any color.

Yep that should work. As long as I can see the general layout and the design for a single switch. I'm going to have to create a new template anyways, but I'd like to keep the same general format.

Sorry to derail even further what's the thickness of the vinyl used for the stickers?

Any idea what you're going to print on?

Also, I updated the OP to include a link to Demik's GB. Were there other sources besides that one?

If you're talking about black being a bad choice, then I disagree! :)

I'm in for several sheets when these get done.

And I agree, black is most certainly not a bad choice (blends with the switch). Not that I really care what color they are, it's not like you can really see them anyhow, they could be pee green with baby poo brown polka dots for all I care (but please don't!).

Thanks prof, looking forward to those scans. I was working with someone previously to get a sample sheet and they found an extra for me so that will help too.

Regarding the thickness, I have one board that's stickered and they appear very thin from what I can tell, so a standard vinyl roll should work. I'll know more when I get a fresh sheet.

I have quite a bit of vinyl on hand ATM, so I'll work with a few types and see what works best.
