Don't bid on it yet! Wait until the end, and snipe that! Just pick the highest amount you're willing to go, and throw it down at the last few seconds. Either you win cheaper, or you don't overpay.

Interesting keycaps, too bad numpad 3 is missing.

Don't know about basic used Model M prices in Oz, they have gone from $30-40 to $50-60+ here, in the last 6 months.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

C'mon fohat, this has got your name all over this.  Dive in before the last 4 seconds of the auction.  8)

I have 3 immaculate heavily "adjusted" bolt-modded Ms, 2 in storage and 1 that my son uses, a like-new 1991 black label that is totally stock, and at least 2 in parts waiting to be brought back to life. Then there are a couple of more carcasses of each, standard and M-122, in the "junk" pile.

Model Ms no longer have much appeal to me, I have used my near-ANSI modded Model F-122s constantly for a year and a half, and they are an order of magnitude more pleasant and enjoyable to use.

For less than $30 delivered, I might buy an M for the keycaps, but otherwise, I am pretty much over it.

If I ever find myself with energy to spare and a dozen hours of idle time, I might try to chop one of them down to some smaller footprint.
