I found this today and bought it because it was brand-new-in-box-all-original-packaging-etc!

Just looking for information about this keyboard if anyone has it!  Haven't given it a typing yet, but plan to in just a little while.  Also, is it worth anything (being BNIB?)?

I'm really diggin the integrated keyboard cover, super sweet!

You know, a quick search could have wielded a lot of results!

NIB ones are fetching about $50 by the looks of it. But with that cover...it might fetch more!

Apparently its' pot luck when it comes to what switch you get though:

Really old ones use blues, older ones use white complicated, the newest ones use fakes, some are fake blues some are fake whites.  It's pot luck.  You can usually tell fakes because they have windows keys, but there are fakes in no windows key ones too.

Guess you better get to popping those keys off for us!

No windows key, so it likely uses real complicated alps.  You can tell without even taking the switch apart, if they say alps on them they're complicated.

ripsters' small review of it here.

I'll admit I did do a really simple quick search here and on OCN and eBay - but nothing too in depth. :p I was just hoping that some brilliant keyboard wiz would drop the bomb with info, and I thank you so very much for the link.  I certainly will take a keycap off and get to photos!

The keycap is (obviously) easy to remove, what would you recommend for the switch?

Just pop the key off. Blue switch? Cherry blues. White switch? White ALPS. Does it say ALPS on it? If yes, complicated white ALPS. If no, simplified/fake white ALPS :-)

Huh?  You don't take the switch off if that's why you're saying.

This makes me miss my Focus FK-9000...  But the Filco TKL is pretty nice, and very much better than all the crap that's been foisted on us over the past 15 years.  Hooray for the era of the return of the mechanical keyboard!

And alps is written on some simplifieds...

And complicateds don't always say ALPS! What a mindf**k. My bet is complicated white ALPS (but it just as well could be simplified).
If you live in AZ you can try my keyboards. I usually keep plenty of different ALPS and MX and buckling springs.

That must be a very late '2001.  I've never seen one with power management keys.
