Cherry G80-3000 NIB for only $50 only one in stock

Don't waste time, folks! I see seller has received an offer already!

(I have no relation to the seller. This just looks like a damn good deal for those who want easy customization of cherry switches.)

Hi berserkfan, thank you for your sharing.
The article of the keyboard is G80-3000LSCEU-2, so it could be Cherry MX Blue just for extra information.

I think the rest are just really over priced....I mean it's an ok keyboard but the caps are just lasered and there really isn't much to the case.

But this would be easily modded since it is PCB mount.

I'd consider it if I didn't have two already.

This one is ok but for me your best one so far is the one that you posted a few days ago related to NIB Cherry MX-11900 @19.9$.

It was sold out in just a few days for ~20-something.

actually most of the people who want 80-3000s don't care about the switches or lasered caps. they just want an easy-to-mod standard layout keyboard so that they can put their ergo clears and group buy keycaps.

if you're looking from the viewpoint of PBT keycaps and a nearly-similar number of switches, an 80-11900 for 29 shipped is of course better value.

there are not many 104-ANSI PCB mounted keyboards around. I myself had to buy Cherry G80-8200 and 80-8113 because these were closest to standard layouts.

Hey, don't do that. If seller sees he's got lots of offers in a short time, he'll just delist and raise the price. I know you're doing it for the heck of it, but lots of people here (including me) don't solder well, and would prefer to buy a PCB mounted keyboard just to avoid soldering.

It would also suck if somebody else got the keyboard cheap and flipped it at a profit to folks desperate to avoid soldering.

I made an offer just for the heck of it.

Well if you want it buy it! It's not getting any cheaper....I made an offer because while I don't need it, if I can get it cheap enough I'll add it to the pile in the hopes of getting a G80-3000 plate to put in it someday

HAHA

See, 6 months ago these were going for $100 if at all, and I decided to settle on Cherry 80-8113 and 8200. So I've already had my fix.

As for that plate you're talking about, didn't Ivan tell you you can put a standard steel plate at the back of a Cherry keyboard to stiffen it? I actually tried it with cardboard, since I don't have steel, and it did feel better. Maybe it was a placebo! but methinks there are geekhackers who know metal shops, and you could always ask them to get a sheet metal cut for you?
