Prediction:  the most recent ping that has been recorded in the past few days actually is a Filco at the bottom of the ocean, tossed into the ocean by an angry geekhacker on a cargo ship.

I am not sure what I was thinking when I made this comment, probably just looking for a few laughs at the expense of the missing plane.  But I realized shortly afterwards that it was in very poor taste.  Perhaps I should not have written out my thoughts.  My consciousness and empathy always seem to prevail when I make an offending or insulting comment, and my original comments have weighed on my mind.  I am sincerely sorry for my insensitivity. Knowing that a geekhacker has been affected by this tragedy really hits home, and reminds me of similar tragedies that have occurred to people that I have known.  The pictures of the dedication are especially touching.

I know my comment might mean much considering my original offending comment, but I hope my apology can be accepted.
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing

Humor has always been used as a coping mechanism for tragedy, making light of a situation because we don't want to accept what has happened. Naturally, many people's first response to something is a joke, not because we are insensitive, but because it is human nature

I think I should say that I'm not offended as I know very well this is the Internet and things like this happened. It's just that when more and more people continue, I just thought it's better for me to voice out as it could get out of hand. And I have no intention of making anyone feel bad or anything. It's just that I feel it's better for me to say something as there are a few Malaysians here and other nationals as well. So, I'm not trying to make a scene too. Regardless, no offense taken, prdlm2009.
