I had a look over it. but they don't really decided what size the modifiers at the bottom are... is there a way to figure out other than guessing? Any suggestions on Blank keys?

I would concur with this which would make the spacebar 6 unit.  That is kind of a tough size to find.  Not included in GB's very often.

The two common space bars are 6.25 which is 1.25 for all modifiers and 7 unit which is 1.5/1/1.5/7/1.5/1/1.5 iirc.

While the one I bought was from the classifieds here, I'm 90% sure that's what I type on at home, and yes ... that's the layout. 6x spacebar like Melvang says.

though I'm told that signature plastics can make them. If you need one you can check their inventory or ask them about having one made.

Fair warning though on having SP make something.  Even if they have a mold for it, anything that has to be manufactured has a minimum $100 cost.  They will make one for you, its just going to cost that much.

If you just want blanks, you don't need to replace the spacebar, so any blank set that has 1.5x mods and a few extra 1x bottom row caps will do. Unfortunately I can't think of any cheap blank black sets that have those.

Even Ivan's GB for thick blank black PBT caps doesn't have 1.5x mods since they didn't reach MOQ.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

You get get ABS or PBT blanks for $1 each from SP. They have a variety of colours in stock, and 1x and 1.5x are common sizes:

I dont plan to spend much on this keyboard since it is a cheap keyboard to get me by for now. I might Just replace the qwert part with blanks and leave the modifiers alone.

In that case, these may look nice: http://www.banggood.com/PBT-87-Blank-White-Key-Caps-For-Cherry-MX-Keyboard-p-84084.html

I was going to recommend the blank black POM set from Banggood (they used to have an 84 key set and an 87 key set), but I don't see it listed any more unfortunately.
