Dear All,
I searched but did not find the answer ... maybe it cannot be done but here is what I am after. I am planning to buy either a KBPV60 or Poker II or perhaps the POK3R (aka Poker III but nothing is known about this yet). My problem is that I love to use those arrow keys on the right.  :)

Here is what I would like to program. Let's use for my example the Poker II layout (I guess the V60 is the same):
Can I program the following on the Poker II? (Basically I want to switch the position of keys so I do not have to activate FN or PN)
1) Make the right Shift to become as Up arrow,
2) Make the right FN to be the Left arrow
3) Make PN to be Down arrow
4) Make the right CTRL to be Right arrow, and
5) Make the right ALT to be FN?

I guess this is not possible right with those Poker or V60s?

Is it possible with the GON? It is a bit expensive. I know the GON can fit into a Poker II housing? I really do not want to go down that route TBH as this might cost a fortune. Also, can I make the GON 60 plate mounted?
Does anyone know anything about the upcoming POK3R (Poker III)? It would be awesome if that could be 100% programmable.

I did not want to hijack this thread about the 60% board (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=65876.0) as my question is a bit different. Can somebody in the know help answer my question please? The reason why I asking this is because there is a nice Poker II on Massdrop.
Cheers,

You can't do that with a Poker II, but may be able to with the Poker 3 when it gets released, since they claim you'll be able to program the positions of the Fn and Pn keys.

The KBT Pure is not programmable, but you can toggle those keys into an arrow cluster with Fn+space and it has a fantastically well thought out Fn layer.

The GON NerD60 is completely programmable, so you can definitely do what you want with it and it does fit Poker II compatible cases. Probably your best option that's available right now, but will require some work (you can get just the PCB and solder everything yourself).
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Yeah I believed those keyboards  needs to be programable to allow for they arrow keys to work in that spot.

Just get an infinity in the upcoming second round @ MD, choose your favorite switch, keyset and case, set your layout and enjoy typing.

Thank you so much for all you for the answers. They are really valuable for me.

@Oobly: I might wait to see what the POK3R (Poker III) will offer. As you mentioned that they claim you'll be able to program the positions of the Fn and Pn keys. I am not sure this would allow swapping all those keys I described. It would be awesome if they would make it fully programmable. Probably this would be the easiest (and cost effective) option.

The GON NerD60 is an option. I guess I would have to solder the switches, right? (All the other smd components are soldered.) Of course, I would need a plate to make it plate mounted and a nice alu case (perhaps from TEX). In terms of the plate, which plate can I use that would work with the Poker alu case? I was looking at their site but could not figure it out. :-( What else would I need other than some keycaps. The GON NerD60 would be a nice project ... I could use again my soldering iron  :thumb:

@tutuling: I agree and this is why I am glad Oobly chipped in to explain and confirm what I suspected. I wonder why these keyboard manufacturers don't provide a simple flashing tool that would allow 100% customisation. This would make things easier I guess. On the other hand, I think this is the direction we are going.

@ideus: Similar to the GON NerD60, the infinity is a nice option. Is this compatible with the Poker alu case? I guess if I want to put it in a Poker case then I would need a different plate to mount the switches, right? I also noticed and correct me if I am wrong but the infinity does not have LED backlit option.

Thank you for your answers.

Can somebody tell me which plates are compatible with the GON NerD60?

I am planning to put in a Poker or something similar alu case? Can you guys recommend good and reasonably priced alu cases?

Many thanks,
mz/x

If poker 3 is fully programable.  It would be pretty hard to beat at that price. Given they can make improvements over poker 2.

I just found out today that the KBPV60 has this built in using Fn-Enter... Which is what convinced me I can live with a 60%!
