I will tell you why. It was redundant. Didn't I already say that? I was wondering what you meant? Were you clarifying that it wasn't a terminal board, or that I didn't know the difference at all?
That threw me for a major loop!
Edit: I guess I come across as some mad person or something. I'm not "mad" at you at all. I was just confused with the reply you gave at the end. I'm a geek too.
I just misread you I thought by "edit: this means no adapter required native PS/2" you meant you looked it up and posted it like it was new info. I mentioned that it was redundant, so was therefore confused.
I think instead you meant something like the following: "Oh, not everyone is an IBM expert 'round here, so I'll edit this to clarify that by "terminal emulation" I meant: has a PS/2 cable so no adapter needed".
Which makes a lot of sense to me.
I think sometimes you come across as being angry at something, or that you have something to prove, but it doesn't bother me. I deal with angry people all day long, and have some perspective. As such, I always give people the benefit of the doubt. I've known lots of people that just typed differently and came across as arrogant when they weren't really. This is one reason I love meeting GHers so much.
You celarly know a lot about IBM, and I respect that, but since you're relatively new (just over a month!) I have to try and make sure you know what it looks like you might. There are plenty of people who post things they think they know when they're new and you have to correct them or everyone else'll get the wrong idea about it as well (when a certain person moved to a different forum, he posted an article comparing MX green to white switches. His findings were unscientific, misleading, and wrong. My "corrected" version didn't get as much press, and so I spent the next several years pointing out the errors in his method. Since his had more people watching it, everyone assumed it was right, so I had to play catch up. Fortunately bluebar has a video that is definitive.)
So we just have to be careful until we know you. I don't think anyone else is trynig to be that way, but just ride it out. I've been impressed with your very good info thus far, which is really what I care about in the end (it's about the keyboards, not the people, people!)
