seller is messing with us. he put the starting bid at a satanic $666.

btw prices for a used M15 are under $500.

As much as I love BS keyboards... I was never a big fan of the M15... don't know why. Would always prefer a SSK instead.

I would like one but I'm honestly a bigger fan of odd model F's and industrial ssk's.  I do however think it would be really fun to type on at least once.

Of course I've never touched one, but based on how the cap height looks, I'm assuming it'd feel like the M2, which for $500 plus would really suck. For me, the buckling spring hierarchy is definitely:

Model F > Model M > Model M2

What I don't understand is why anyone would put that listing up and not expect it to sell.  Unless they want someone to overpay for it.  I think the prices of the M15 are all over the place to begin with.  I'm not into ergonomic boards anyway.  I saw one that was broken for sale that was asking $600 for it.  How awful is that?
It's not just overpriced, it's seriously overpriced.

I will have to disagree with you for now.  I use a M2 on a daily basis and like it more than the Model M in terms of key feel.  However I've never had a chance to type on a model M in working condition.  Might change once I fix my terminal M.

IMO F>M2>M, but its all personal preference.

IMO the M15 feels a bit better than my SSK. Doesn't feel as harsh when bottoming out.

A couple of years ago these regularly brought in over $1K but now about half that, or less.

It would have been nice if they were standard M-based rather than M2-based.

How are the M2/M15 switches different (sound/feel) than standard M?
Please consider carefully before you decide to comment, for Jesus.

More plastic and less metal.

Also, as I remember, the caps are all 1-piece and have row contours for varying heights like regular keyboards. The spring/pivot plates are probably the same, and regular M stems will fit the barrels and operate properly, but I think that they are mostly (way) too tall.

This is from memory, I have not used M2s very much, have never opened one up, and have not owned one in a couple of years.

Springs are the same.  It is definitely all plastic so the board is not as hefty as a model m.  At least with mine the keys feel a tad lighter and are more pingy than a m but not near as much as a f

The force curve isn’t nearly as 'clean' as the M or F. Before the buckle, both regular M and F are pretty much just a straight linear ramp, but M15 (and probably M2 as well) are kinda lumpy.

Still too expensive, IMO, but a better price.

And you often used to see the matching outboard numpads, too. For me, that would be a must-have.

The last one I posted that the_Beast picked up had the numpad, was in better condition, and I think it was close in price to the one I just posted.  These ~$700+ boards in less than mint condition without the numpad (there were 3 or 4 on eBay last I checked) are all way overpriced.
