Healthy starting bid, but with some modding, closest you'll get to an ANSI model F.

If I were interested, I'd have wanted the CTRL keys modded in next to the space bar.

While desirable, I got used to having a ctrl on the left and alt on the right of spacebar as my only options. I mostly use the alt for the @ key while I use ctrl for the classic ctrl-a, ctrl-c, ctrl-v (the core skill of a programmer :p).

Did you guys see Muirium's awesome setup over on DT?

The only hard part is modifying the plate to accept the space bar barrel as it is full width and has the barrels for the stabilizer wire built in.  The PCB already has the pads and xwhatsit utility works just fine with it.  I didn't do the space bar mod on my AT, but I have tweaked the numpad area to a straight 4x5 matrix with numpad and dedicated arrow keys.

In case anyone is curious.

When I get my nerve up and have some time, I will be adding "Alt" keys to my AT.
