Dutch IBM model m?
« on: Thu, 19 February 2015, 15:17:49 »
Hey guys
I just got hand on what i think is an ibm model m with dutch layout and I thought I would share some pictures (i got the keys off for cleaning)
Also the sticker with the serial number and other info is off, but on the back there is a sticker (see last picture).

Also is this one a rubber dome one?

Thanks!

It's definitely a buckling spring.

With all the caps removed, I can't tell what layout it is.

On wikipedia i found this:
Dutch QWERTY layout, 1378705, EC1391461
And on wiki it shosw that it has Dome switches (and no detachable caps or cable, but what i have has detachable ones)
Also on the back of the keyboard there is a sticker that shows that it was bought from kraan bouwcomputing, rotterdam

I promise you that's not a rubber dome board. You can see the spring part of the buckling spring clearly in your pictures.

From a picture of the Dutch layout it definitely looks like that - ANSI except the non-letter characters are all in weird places.

Also DEFINITELY buckling springs. You can see the spring sticking right out ffs! xD

The number on the plate is simply a part number.

That's definitely a buckling spring version and looks like you're right about Dutch layout. Clean it up, plug it in and type!

Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Looks like it might be part 1391511 if it's a blue logo version.

Not 1391511 then xD . Seems like whatever model number it is is not included in the Wikipedia list.
