Arrow led on Poker X
« on: Thu, 05 February 2015, 02:57:07 »
Hello.

I am using Poker X. But It have trouble in recent times. That is led issue on spacebar; right shift; win right; menu & right control.
When I plug in cable, they always light. I can't turn off they when I use "Fn + Spacebar" except I draw cable out.

If anyone know way to fix, please help me.

Thank you very much.

I have been using a Poker X for more than three years now, and I do not have any issue so far. Occasionally it repeats some letters, but I think that is due to the fact that the switches are very light and probably I type a little in the hard side. I have never had any issue with its leds. I cannot help you, sorry.

Do you have an aluminium case? If you do the LEDs might be shorting on it, I seem to remember mine did something similar.

edit - Sorry, the solution was to put an insulating layer between the PCB and the bottom of the case, I think I used some leftover underlay from some laminate flooring.

Yes, no problem :).
I have that trouble, but it is no problem. But led issue is important problem with me because I always use arrow group.
If I can't fix it, I think I 'll desolder led & not need led there. So I am blind
Anyway, thanks for your share.

Yes. I understand what you 're saying. But I tested PCB on mouse pad, arrow led is still light while ESC & Capslock led is normal.
I thought that is firmware issue. But I don't know how to flash firmware for Poker X.

You can try adding a layer of bath mat material under the PCB if it is shorting out.

Have you done any other mods to the board?

I don't think PCB is short-circuit. Maybe I 'll try desolder arrow led & resolder they after clean PCB carefully.

Yes sure. I assembled 38GT for my friend but there isn't any problem happen.
