Glad you liked the Cherry Black Filco.  After trying Cherry Blacks on a numpad I can see their appeal for gaming.  Frankly, if people are REALLY serious about gaming they probably should get a keyboard for general typing and another for gaming.  I'm just not gaming enough these days on a PC to justify it.

Separate keyboards for typing and gaming would definitely be an optimal solution. In my opinion, games (first person shooters at least) are better to be played with high resistance switches which are linear. Simply makes moving around more accurate and faster.

Though, I prefer the blacks over browns for typing too, for one simple reason, being the much smaller amount of typing mistakes. Only thing missing is tactility. If I was to get another keyboard for typing, that would probably be the Model M.

The depends on the nature of your mistakes. I used to make more mistakes on the Model M, because the keys were too stiff. I don't really make those mistakes anymore on the Cherry browns. These days, it's just my crappy typing skillz.

I guess different people prefer different keyboards. I type much faster with my blue cherries than any other keyboard from my collection.

Ooh, I might want to even try that one.  I don't know why, but I have always thought that the Nostromo n52 was one of the greatest ideas for a gaming controller ever.  I'm suprised it's not more popular.

i used the n52  for quite a while but eventually went to the fang gamepad. the n52 caused me some hand/wrist pain  &for me the programming on the fangs is more useful(earlier vers of the software could be a pain sometimes).
anyway, i'm with you, i have no idea why gamers arent using either of these excellent pads for gaming on their comps.

The M1 is a lot stiffer than the Cherry browns, but I like them more like that.
