my paypal is limited again for no reason.  they just ask me to send more and more document to them.  and now they say when the time I open my account was not 18, so my account must be closed.    they sent me a message that I can remove all my cards and bank account, but obviously I can't.....and the worst part is I got funds in my account.

Seems that this is happening more and more here lately.  Maybe its time to switch to a new payment service.

I wonder if Google Wallet would be any better.  I haven't read over their policies, but I assume they would have something comparable to PP.

I've used it quite a few times to send money to friends when out eating or something like that.  I'm not really sure how it will handle transactions and things like that though.

I just used it to send money as usual, but they said something like it's different than my usual habit    and they said they need additional information since it's a new account  , my account is four or five years old already. 
They first started at asking my full bank account number, phone number.  and they started asking my address, photo id.  and they now asking my social security card.

my paypal got locked already, and they don't let me closed my account or remove any cards and bank account.. so pretty sure it's not a scam.



i mean, i only gave the documents that they listed on my account. 
i didn't give them my ssid card because it's not listed on there...
but yeah, i guess i will just cut the cards i linked to the account

I would say that if you have never violated the TOS/conditions you will be fine.

I'd suggest Zeal's had his account a while and does get quite a lot of volume yet he still triggered something with his very popular Zealio GB (I guess) so I would be worried as yours is definitely "unusual activity."

The only time I fell foul of paypal (I used a VPN so appeared to teleport from UK to US) it was solved immediately with a note scribbled on the pic of my credit card statement so maybe linking them to your GB thread would be explanation enough?

I actually called and talked to customer service to make sure that once I collected the funds for my gb (about $3300) that there would be no issues or holds so that I could pay the invoice to sp right away.  Thay way I only had a small amount that was for shipping sitting in my account.

To eliminate any confusion, my PP account had been verified for quite some time.  Prior to the GB issue, I never had any issues with PP and have had the same account since 2003.

I'm not sure if this is the result of a new policy or what, but it seems to be happening more an more lately.

I would be worried. The issue seems to still occur with older, verified accounts that get new volume/activity and subsequently get locked, like ghost/zeal.

I think there would be no difference if you call paypal or not.  What they do and what they tell you in the phone is completely different.
