Man it's so crazy me and my girlfriend were staying at 90 Rue de Charonne about a month ago.... lots of photos taken from that exact address with bodies all over the street

Ya, thats crazy.  Adds a bit of perspective hu?  These events really are tragic.  :(

Yeah but I think that kind of thinking is exactly what terrorists want people to feel

Best way to respond is to give literally no ****s and not change one part of your life for the *******s

Read this article recently and it was a very good read: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2015/03/what-isis-really-wants/384980/

Stuff like this saddens me. My thoughts are with Europe as they continue to endure the struggle of dealing with the burden of the Middle East.

This was a really good read

I certainly don't disagree with the sentiment, and I do understand it.  But you're asking people to go against one of the most basic human instincts (something bad happened there, let's stay away for a bit - pattern recognition and all that).  Again, I do understand what you're saying, but to condemn (not saying you're taking it quite that far, but some are) others for wanting to be safe hardly seems like the best thing to do.

I hope the French police and counter-insurgence will give some ****s.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Yeah sorry I don't think I communicated the safety part well - I'm not condemning people who are acting more safe or vigilantly

I think being safe and acting fearful though are not necessarily one in the same - it always helps to be vigilant or as Jeff Cooper puts it "condition yellow"
