HELP - Cherry stabilizer wire unclipped from plastic holder
« on: Mon, 25 January 2016, 16:50:41 »
Any way I can get this re-clipped in without desoldering the entire keyboard? I've desoldered all of the switches around this particular one. Photo for reference. Anything I can do here?

Note: The wire is out on BOTH sides, and the other switch is also removed.

Needle nosed pliers should do the trick.

The black plastic actually broke, and I can't fit a new stabilizer under the plate without desoldering. So I have a long night ahead of me.

EDIT: I actually tested to see if I thought I was going to notice the difference on the key in question, and I couldn't, so I am just going to run my "Enter" with no stabilizer. I think it's the easiest, albeit sketchiest, option.  :p

Until I get a thinner set of PBT's (that don't rub the stabs on this Co-star-stabilized board), I have been running it without any stabilizers but the spacebar, and I honestly haven't had any issues whatsoever.  It actually has quieted those keys down, which I am learning to appreciate.    :)

Good luck. Hope you don't break the step on the cap :)
