Stuff to make keycaps for my wife
« on: Sun, 02 April 2017, 00:25:59 »
Not sure if this is the right place for this but basically my wife isn't in to keyboards but she really likes artisans and is a pretty crafty person.  She's mentioned to me a couple times that she would like to make them.  She doesn't want to sell them or anything but more of a creative thing.  Basically I want to order all of the stuff she needs to give it a go and wash my hands clean since making keycaps seems super frustrating to me.  Not to mention I made her mad today and it would make a nice surprise.

A quick and easy artsy way to do caps, nail polish!

I think you can pour it on water and then dip the cap in. Something like that, old guides may be around somewhere.

Seems like your second reason is the real reason you asked this today ;-) Hope that clears over...

Great that your wife wants to get in on your hobby though!

Here is a thread that I started in hopes to find tips from people who are already creating keycaps and to also be a resource for other people starting out. Hope it helps :D
