Hello Geekhack!! I might have too many massdrop boards
« on: Wed, 24 April 2019, 17:07:31 »
Hey everyone! Wanted to introduce myself since I'll hopefully be more active in the community. Lurker for about a year, and have been steadily increasing the keeb collection. Started with a Ducky Zero MX Blue, then got board and decided to dive into the hobby. Massdrop was kind of the first entry point into this hobby, which has been helpful in setting somewhat reasonable turnaround times. This community is full of awesome people willing to help their fellow community members, as well as brilliant artists working together to make our dreams a reality. I hope to contribute whatever knowledge, advice, or help that I can provide.

Here's what I own so far:
Ducky Zero, MX Blue switches, stock caps
Logitech G613, Romer G tactile switches, stock caps
Massdrop Ctrl , Halo Clear switches, DSA Alchemy caps
Massdrop Alt High Profile, Halo True switches, GMK Laser caps
YMDK Ortholinear PCB/Case, Kailh Speed Silver switches, MDA Big Bone Ortholinear caps

Here's what's coming in the pipeline:
TheKey Candybar (purple), Zealios 62g switches, Candybar caps
Rama x Keyclack M65A Solarized Dark Edition, Linjar Switches, GMK Metropolis Caps
Think65, Holy Panda switches, MiTo XDA Canvas Caps
Massdrop Ctrl High Profile Black, unsure on switches, unsure on caps

Extra Things I may be looking to sell:
200 Kailh Speed Silver Switches
2 full sets of ctrl caps
Full set of alt caps
Full MiTo XDA ortho/base set

Once the Rama U80 GB gets announced I'll probably be sitting in the order queue waiting to order one as well. I'm really excited for what 2019 has in store. Once a few more boards from group buys arrive and everything is put together, I'm going to do a few family photos. Pretty stoked. There's also a very good chance I end up selling a board or two near the end of the year, so if there's anything on here you're interested in buying don't hesitate to message me and I will do my best to respond in a timely manner.

Welcome! My first mechanical keyboard was purchased off of Massdrop as well (KBP V80). 4+ years and dozens of keyboards later, I now work for MD. Funny how that turned out.

Hello, how do you like the MDA big bone ?

To be honest, it was ok. I put it on my first ortholinear board and I'm not sure if I liked the layout or the keycaps but I really couldn't get that adjusted to it. I think if I put them on an angled board with standard layout I'd like them more. The colors are very bright they look great visually.

LOL  :D you are having our MDA big bang keycaps specially designed for ortholenear, MDA BIG BONE is not for ortho , and it make sense that you may not get used to ortho keyboard , angled one worth a try .
Thanks for your opinion sharing . have a good day .
