I know an artisan case can't be everything for everyone, but I'm hoping for future artisan boxes to either have travel capability or better display capability. What I'm personally looking for are features that don't already exist, not just another box. Here are a couple of scenarios I'd like to throw in that maybe would be good talking points:

Travel - Is there a solution to prevent caps from knocking around in transit?

Laying on a desk - This is probably fine, but the view looks like frosted acrylic. I can't really see anything there.

Stacking - If anyone else has an extreme artisan addiction like I do, they might have a couple of cases stacked on top of each other. Is that possible with this case? It seems like a bubble or a pod, so if I had one, it would probably work out fine as the top of a stack.

Propped up or maybe hanging on a wall for display - I've tried this with a few different cases, and most artisans fall forward, and don't remain upright. To fix this, I have to cut custom height foam or bubble wrap to prop them up against the lid.

Yes, a high quality rectangular travel foam is included to help secure the caps during transit. Potter was thinking about other solutions as well.

Laying on a desk - This is probably fine, but the view looks like frosted acrylic. I can't really see anything there.

You should be able to see through when it’s closed (I will confirm when I get a prototype along with production-ready Think6.5 PCBs). Can use without top too

Stacking - If anyone else has an extreme artisan addiction like I do, they might have a couple of cases stacked on top of each other. Is that possible with this case? It seems like a bubble or a pod, so if I had one, it would probably work out fine as the top of a stack.

This I will need to confirm with Potter. Not sure if most people need more than 1 and stack them:) primarily used to display on the table.

Propped up or maybe hanging on a wall for display - I've tried this with a few different cases, and most artisans fall forward, and don't remain upright. To fix this, I have to cut custom height foam or bubble wrap to prop them up against the lid.

This we need to look into how much you can tilt.

Thanks for the feedback, hope you find these useful

Hey, poster putty might be good for angled or wall display. Pretty cheap available on amazon. I wouldn't think the putty would damage the caps (although i could be wrong). Obviously just a temp solution, but i agree i would like a case with the features you mentioned.

Reminds me of a mouthguard holder for athletes. Seems like the design could take away from what's being displayed (the artisans)

These have been CNC'd already. So there is no way to change now (except color choices). Hope that doesn't bother you too much!

Honestly this holds artisans no better then a $5 Walmart crafts organizer. Why not have the interior foam lined so it actually holds the artisans in place, or have an internal stem it mounts to? A flat glass or plastic front would allow clear viewing. The angles "look cool" but warp the view. Make the function work first, then add design elements later.

I have also had screwdriver cases like this, and the very first thing that breaks is the cheap plastic hinge, then the whole thing is crap. I would make sure those aren't using weak little plastic hinges. One little stress point or small drop and.... CRACK
