Question about Zealios V2 bottom out force
« on: Mon, 10 June 2019, 19:31:27 »
I am looking to order Zealios V2 62g switches for my new keyboard and have questions about the bottom out force. Is all the force at the top and they are easy to hold down once they are bottomed out? For example, I have Kailh speed silvers and they are heavier at the bottom then the top so it become straining to hold down the same key for long periods of time, but on my Topre once I bottom out the key they are easy to continuously hold down.

From many keyboard enthusiasts and sound test videos that i have heard, they sound almost like a typewriter and are unbelivabeably smooth. It's the ergo clears that Cherry failed to produce and they made it a unique switch indeed.

Like clears, they feel a bit heavy at the bottom but not heavy like cherry mx blacks to the point it hurts.

Cherry MX Blacks are by far my least favourite switch. I love greens and their damp click, however my baby hands get quite tired after 10 minutes of use.

I just got some Zilents V2 62 gr.

Yes, most of the tactile bump is right at the top.

The weight is indeed similar to MX Brown. So far, they seem light and easy to hold down. But I need to do some testing.

Keep in mind that my Zilents are less tactile than regular Zealios.

Zealios 62g have around the same spring weight as MX browns. Although they will be harder to press initially due to the tactile bump, which is right at the top of the press, once you get past it it shouldn't be hard to hold it down.

I really seem to hate tactility, maybe it's because literally all the ********** rubber dome boards i've been using have a awful tactile bump.

Cherry MX Browns are just... okay.

I just did some gaming with my 62 gr V2 Zilents.

The bump is at the top, and you no longer notice it once you start holding down the key.

They are very light to hold down, and can be quickly actuated.

It's actually an excellent gaming switch, maybe the best I've ever tried.
