What is that (pointing device) down in the lower right corner?   is that some kind of joystick like the ones on the intellivision controllers of yore?

It's a hula pointing device.  Sorta like a BIG trackpoint...

Hmmm... considering that my biggest complaint about the trackpoint was the dent it left in the tip of my finger, this IS getting interesting.  Might have to examine this further...
