I'm looking into getting a mechanical keyboard soon (first in almost 20 years that I'll have had). So I'm still doing research and getting lots of new information. Glad to be here.

Welcome to Geekhack. In the beginning, figuring out what you like can be complicated, but once you do, it gets easier. Try getting a switch tester

Welcome to Geekhack. In the beginning, figuring out what you like can be complicated, but once you do, it gets easier. Try getting a switch tester 

Thanks! I've got a switch tester on order, so that's the first step. 
Then I'm debating whether to get a 65% or TKL. So I've got some research there.
