Hmm most old keyboards don't really work good for gaming. Maybe a Filco zero? Its pretty rare but the best Alps gaming board i ever had if you swap the switches. I swapped my Filco Zero to Alps yellow. It has 18N key roll over with USB TO PS2.

Are there any keyboards that *aren't* good for gaming? Older keyboards should respond in virtually the same time, and even faster if they use PS/2. Just make sure it has at least 6KRO.

In my experience, a keyboard is good for gaming if it doesn't actively hinder it.

Even if you do require the >2KRO, this is a very large amount of boards.

Alps are good because they activate high up.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Why not just get a rubber dome then, they actuate at the top of the stroke.
The whole gaming angle is bogus anyways, the difference in actuation time from the 'speed switches' might be two to four milliseconds; not a real difference to anyone. Even professionals just use regular Cherry switches.

The classic Dell AT101W has only 2KRO but apparently some people find them good enough.
I've visited a hackerspace with half a dozen gaming PC's all equipped with these, several years before Chyros filmed this:

cherry mx black is a big no if you're playing competitive games like overwatch. But for RTS and RpG games? That'll do.

Membranes require you to bottom out to actuate...

What makes cherry mx black a big no? Also, RTS games can also be very competitive, just look at Starcraft.
