So I guess let me introduce myself... I'm a web developer and designer of 15 years experience that learned to type on an old buckling-spring IBM typewriter in the 8th grade. I like multimedia keys (i know i know) and keys that go 'click'. My current keyboard is finally giving up the ghost - lasted longer than a Microsoft internet keyboard should anyway. Since I obsessed about every part in my system to unhealthy extremes, I decided to do a bit or research on keyboards. I had the ignorant opinion that clicky was gone before i ran into this site.. I have been here browsing for about a week now trying to glean information - and shopping second hand stores for my next board.
As a last minute attempt at buckling spring before I bit the bullet on a filco (i am a bit concerned about the shiny keys, so it would probably be white), I decided to call the service number listed on
http://pckeyboards.stores.yahoo.net. I asked them if they would sell me a set of black keys for the black spacesaver. Their response was "im sorry, but the only keys we have for that are blank black keys" and "we can include them with the keyboard purchase installed for an extra 10$ or ship them seperately for $20"
Im buying one as soon as i get paid again..
