There are plenty of numpads and macropads available but I wanted something that mixed both. The only thing I found was a project on github (and an IC here for a split that could fit the bill).

My plan is to leave it as a numpad most of the time and have profiles for debugging on the browser and IDE (step into, step out, etc), among other things.
The bad thing is that there is no case, the firmware is not qmk, switching between layers is done with tactile buttons mounted on the pcb. Still, I’ve sent an order to a pcb manu and will cut an acrylic case for it.
I think a slightly more polished version of it would fill a niche.
