Model m and dog hair
« on: Thu, 26 December 2019, 16:34:31 »
I recently got a model m and have been very happy with it. However, I have a dog that sheds like crazy. What sort of damage will his hair do to my keyboard? Is there a possibility it could permanently damage the keyboard?

Just vacuum it out regularly. If need be, it can be taken apart for thorough cleaning.

My dog recently passed, but she was an Akita who regularly goes through a very vigorous shedding period known as "bursting" which isn't far off from what the word sounds like.

I have a unicomp M, and it stayed not too far from where the dog was, and would get hair in it quite a bit, a quick blow from a blower (Can of Air, or Electric blower) knocked most of it loose, and anything that was stubborn would meet the vacuum.

They are built well, and easy to clean, you should be smooth sailing, as long as you keep up with cleaning it every so often.
