« on: Tue, 15 June 2010, 13:54:13 »
Hi, I found this publication in my country: http://www.masoportunidades.com.ar/aviso/3765072-teclado-wang-disponible-en-buenos-aires

Is that the same wang as this?: http://cgi.ebay.com/Keyboard-Wang-PC-Vintage-Clicky-w-Yellow-Omron-Sliders-/350364573669?cmd=ViewItem&pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item51935b1fe5

Can you identify it from the ****ty picture?

Also, what about those yellow alps?

yeah, but what do the Wang experts think of the first link?
Will it have clicky alps, or can it be a rubber dome board?

Thanks sandy and ripster.
In the first link there is a bad picture of what I think is a keyboard exactly like the one in the second link with yellow switches.
So I guess I'm gonna place a bid for it and see what happens.

But to answer your question I can't tell much from the CrappyCam photo. Chloe didn't put Yellow Omrons in the Switch wiki so try scouring those asian web sites. They tend to have the best ALPS info.

Coils springs; Diameter of Omron's are bit shorter but can be used in ALPS.
Stems; not compatible.
Click leaves; Omrons' leaves are bit wider. not compatible.  Haven't tried ALPS leaves in Omrons.
switching assy; basically same mechanism but not compatible. Clicky Omron has 3 pins. ( Later version has 2 pins but anyway incompatible )

Cases; completely incompatible.
ALPS ( and Monterey ) key caps can be used on Omrons. haven"t tried vv. but maybe OK.

I think you tried to correct me for mistaking Alps and Omrons. You're right I thought they were yet another clone, but it seems they are different as sandy just said.
