  • Hello and welcome.
A collection of highly flashy and highly clacky boards is up this week! I do a comparison video like this with every batch of TDXL videos now - hope you enjoy the video! :)

The first two sound extremely chalky, i assume they are scratchtastic as well? The last two sound quite nice though imo

They are not without scratchiness, no. It's not terribad though; these are nothing like their later short-height tactile switches.

From my research, vintage foam and foil aren't that bad if the foam is in good shape. They don't age well, though, and are subpar to contactless, SI, and Alps in terms of smoothness. Not sure about how they compare to Cherry MX.

A question I've wanted to ask you Chyros on these, since I've watched all of the reviews you've put up of the Foam and Foils.

What do you honestly think of them compared to other switches? or your beloved Blue Alps? do they even rate compared? Or is it just the cool old neat factor in them that keeps you getting them?

Neither. The thing that keeps me getting them is that they just happen to show up everywhere xD . Also they were used on some REALLY cool boards, so they're almost inescapable!

Frankly, they don't really compare to all that much xD . They're decent, but even when really good, are nowhere near top-tier.

The keycaps are really cool, too :) Hard to dislike such cool looking boards.
