Miniguru Canceled
Production of the Miniguru has been canceled. :-(

I don’t want to list the specific reasons here, let’s just say that mainly we lost faith in being able to sell the initial production run.

Thanks to all who sent messages of support and my apologies to those how have been waiting for this keyboard.

Sad ending

Why?   This is not possible to happen.  I think  than MiniGuru would be the no1 Best Seller.
Everyone in geekhack would buy one for sure.

I hope things will change soon in a good way.

I was so much waiting for that keyboard to come! It looked like the Holy Grail of keyboards, sweeping away all previous ones. All I have to do now is to take out again my space-saver Model M and weep on it...

If I designed a trackpoint keyboard, I'd put the trackpoint between the HJN keys so your hand doesn't have to adjust from the home row, and I would off-center the mouse buttons slightly to the left.

Seems like the only intelligent design to me, really.

Just in looking through all of these threads one can easily and quickly get an idea of how interesting and interested people were in the miniguru. Wonderful design to say the least.

I hope these threads and posts don't rub anything in too much. If nothing else let them be a showcase to how sweet it was and how it has raised the bar.

That's a real shame, it looked like a near-perfect small form factor board.

I think it's usually between ghb in order to make it usable for right and left handers, but that's certainly a better design if the keyboard is only going to be used by right-handed people anyway.

Unicode codes.  Just like you hold down Alt and hit +130 to make a é, you can do the same to make a variety of symbols.  Sadly, my reinstallation of Windows at home is missing something, because it isn't showing me my mini keyboards, they look like empty boxes   Or you can just copy and paste the symbols from a source site that talks about them.
Google "How to enter Unicode characters in Windows" to learn additional information and find other sources.

That's a damn shame. I really wanted a pink and white one with cherry reds.

The only thing to do now is patent the design, get a lawyer and license it out. Hell, maybe Diatec would buy in for at least a "special/limited edition" run.

Well, this HardForum Moderator is sure an *******.

About the Miniguru

About Geekhack.
He keeps posting wrong info which makes it worse.

Somebody go do some trolling over there.

In said gentleman's mechanical keyboard guide, he has in brackets after the Das "IBM Model M Quality", and yet mentioned neither the Model M or Unicomp.
