Doesn't the "Options by IBM" brand pretty much guarantee it's an outsourced Lexmark keyboard?
Those aren't so rare, model M15 notwithstanding.

AFAIK, those things are 42H' style. Might as well buy a Unicomp.

According to the listing, that may not be the case.  The listing states that it was made in Scotland.  If that means the Greenock plant, then it was made by IBM, not Lexmark.  The model number might also reflect that conclusion, but I don't really keep track of all that.

EDIT:  It looks like CH may have beat me to it.

Rugged and reliable

1-year limited warranty

You would figure it would be longer than that.  I wonder if you bought it and it had some broken rivets if IBM would fix it since it would be less than a year since you bought it providing, of course, the seller was an authorized IBM retailer.

Here's a potential deal, what looks like an IBM model M and a pretty vintage Keytronic keyboard, both starting at $0.99+$20 ship (to me).

It's something all right.  Not sure what, not sure it's good, but it's something,

Ugh.  I'd get a known quantity from Rarekeyboardstore first.

Unless of course you are up for some RetrObrite experiments.

I certainly won't argue the point, just passing along what I saw out there.

I used the GIMP automatic color enhancement just to try and bring out the layout better so it might have skewed the color.  That picture on ebay is pretty dark and low res, which I suppose is not a good sign.

So.  Apparently the Keytronic keyboard is a KB5151jr that was made for the PCjr!  There is a PDF scanned manual out there for it and below a better picture.

The options by IBM was just a product line, it didn't necessarily refer to lexmark. I have an options by IBM scanner. Must be 97 or something.

I bought two of these from the same seller a couple months ago. He shipped quickly and seemed friendly, but I won't be able to check the boards out until I return to the states in August.

2 hours left, and it's going for less than most used Lexmarks go for.

Stayed about there until under 30 seconds when snipers went wild running it up to $56.55.

Sniped at the very last microsecond for 56.55, up from around $25.
Oh well!!

That was exciting but at that price I would rather buy a new Unicomp.
Wouldn't it be funny if it were an iron skillet in the box?
