So Deskey #3 is the most recommended Topre silencing method up to day, I figure I'd give it a shot.
But after I tried it I find they sound very plastic-y. I'm using it on 55g Topre so I don't know if that's where the problem is, but they simply don't sound nice. My assumption is that since the shiny side is plastic, it's meant for stability. But would it cause it to be plastic hitting plastic hence it sound very plastic-y to me?
So my question is, for Topre 55g, should I go up to #4? Or should I install my #3 with shiny side down (normally they recommend up, stock silent Topre is also shiny side up), would it help the situation?
