There's a genuine 8088 Compaq "portable" for $40 at a surplus place in Sunnyvale CA. Weighs too much to carry home on my bicycle. I'd tip over if I put it in a saddle bag.

Bicycle? I do it the old fashioned way and carry stuff like that home.

I've taken home desktop computers from work on a bicycle. (And my 5-mile ride's got some pretty steep hills)

Oh yeah? I had to walk 100 miles through a sewer, 2 miles through a desert, and 20 miles through a blizzarding snow storm just to get to the shoebox which had my computer.

That's how I got my current server to the data center. Living without a driver's license is usually not as annoying as that.
