Greetings from Essex, UK
« on: Fri, 05 June 2020, 17:30:20 »
Hello there. The name's Barney, and I'm from Essex in the UK.
I'm fairly new to the world of custom mechanical keyboards, only having built a 60% (GH60), a numpad and currently sporting a 75% I just finished earlier this week. Here's the full specs of my current keyboard:

- KBD75v2 PCB, flashed with VIA
- Zealios v2 78g switches, with KEYGEM films
- Durock stabs
- Krytox 205g0
- Black aluminium case, with noise dampening foam
- Polycarbonate Plate
- GMK Metropolis

Making the ascension from the usual gaming keyboards to customs has been worth every penny (RIP my wallet). This is mainly because of discovering the MK sub reddit and watching Taeha Types's streams.
I'm also into racing games (NFS, Gran Turismo, Forza, GRID and DiRT and the like), motorsports (but only the 4 wheeled kind), tech and also a bit of an audiophile.

Anyway, cheers for having a little read. Really happy to join Geekhack! :)

welcome!!

Lots of UK folks on here, and on the discord servers as well. When you say motorsports fan I hope that means F1? :D

There are UK/EU Streamers as well if you ever want to delve into streams at reasonable EU hours as well :D

Well, I do like F1 and I am looking forward to it's return in July. But also BTCC, WRC, and GT Racing.
