Good to see this
« on: Mon, 15 June 2020, 10:13:13 »
I'm really kind of new on this hobby (a hobby isn't it?). Started out in 2019 buying a commercial mech keyboard, and after 3 months I immediately build my first custom keyboard, which is a 40% board. Time flies, modding my commercial keyboard (and sell it immediately), also my 40, joining r/mk, local keyboard community, discord, and find out this site. I guess this is where things started, like ICs, GBs, and another great works on mechanical keyboard, and guess I should dive in and here I am.
I think that's all I need to say at this time, so thanks for reading if you are, and happy clacking!

Hi Sxu. Welcome to Geekhack. I'm sorry about the late welcome. I haven't been checking this section often enough lately.

I would probably call it more of an obsession/addition than a hobby, but maybe there's hope for us.

What switches have you had in those boards? Which have you tried? Which do you like?

I'm the opposite, I lurked here for years and just finally joined early this year. I don't really plan on going anywhere else besides maybe Deskthority for the retro/vintage focus. Forums seem laid out way better for things like this, and both here and Deskthority always seem to have all of the most relevant information I'm looking for.
