This is a really cool concept and Iím very interested!

The one thing that would keep me from buying this would be the right shift. Iíve been using the Alice layout since the original GB shipped out and never thought that Fn was too far away, it works perfectly with my muscle memory from standard layout split shift boards. The renders as they currently stand look very cramped over there. I also feel like aesthetically 2.75u would look better because then you have that same stepped effect mirrored on both sides. Finally, and my eyes might be playing tricks on me so correct me if Iím wrong, but the left half of the board looks longer than the right, so maybe this would make them more even?

In spite of my grievances, Iím looking forward to more details about price and availability  :thumb:

Edit: just a minor afterthought but a lot of keysets have moved away from ISO (1.25u shift) and second 2.25u right shift in the base kit which is unfortunate for compatibility as well

Fantastic point dallman on the right shift, I didn't catch that at first. Ideally folks could obtain support for this board through GMK Noel's 40s kit - which includes both split space and ISO shift - but a base + 40s package still wouldn't provide the full shift some may want for this board.

Edit - after I wrote this someone pointed out that both GMK Masterpiece and GMK Midnight Rainbow have two 2.25u Shifts in the base kit. My bad!

That said, this board reminds me of the MS Ergo I ran into the ground before my first mechkey. I really hope to hear more about the right shift.

Very interested! Will the PCB has ESD protection? I'm personally a right thumb spacebar kinda guy, but would be willing to forgo not having the long bar on that side for this.

Man this is sick af.
Depending on how many seconds it takes to sell this out, would you consider running this afterwards on a more standard gb format? Just to give everyone a chance to get in on this beauty.

Love the idea, but the layout changes are horrible imo.  You should at least offer compatibility for the standard layout people are used to.

Good thing no one is forcing you to buy

Really. Feel like a lot of people still got on 7V. Don't think numbers were ever announced.

That said I'd pay more for this. Pretty novel take honestly.

Really? Outside of PVD, I didn't think the price was bad on it given what it was?

Regardless, I just hope we get a good amount of these to be able to get one. I always thought Alices should be tented in the middle, so this is a sort of dream board for me.

Im really liking the sharp angle case design. Can't speak to the layout though as im not too fond of alice style layouts, but this looks really nice.

Love this. Also have never typed on a tented keeb. What are the chances that it might have a hollow sound due to the empty space?

I knew 7V was a distraction.

Real talk, I agree with others regarding the weird Right Shift/FN configuration, and don't see a reason to not support Left Spacebar/GUI other than personal preference.

Edit: just a minor afterthought but a lot of keysets have moved away from ISO (1.25u shift) and second 2.25u right shift in the base kit which is unfortunate for compatibility as well
Maybe my hands are tiny but I still find the fn too far away. I prefer it the wys I currently have it because it brings the control closer as well.
Regarding keycap compatibility, there are still a lot of base kits that provide ISO shifts and in sets like Nautilus R2, there is a short shift in the 40s kit which has the spacebars and the extra B key that you'd want.

Just imagine if keycap sets would all still include short 1.25u shift, all questions about keycap compatibility would be a non-issue.

Nice project! Interesting design for sure and I applaud your choice to move the left spacebar because thatís where you hit it.
