I've been on laptop keyboards forever but started getting shoulder and back pain a while back. Started looking into ergonomics and changed a couple things about my desk setup but no sense in going halfway. Decided it's time to upgrade from my freebie membrane keyboard and I need a new quarantine project. I've got experience in pcb design (in Altium so sadly all the community footprints and stuff are useless to me) and programming already so I've been planning on a custom nRF-based split board with a Kyria/Corne kinda layout. I'm not really satisfied with the current state of firmware (QMK is kinda enormous and tangled, Bluemicro might be an option but I don't like relying on Arduino) so I might end up rolling my own, maybe an excuse to learn Rust but I'm not particularly decided on that front.
Sad I didn't join sooner because I missed the DSA Drifter GB. I love that whole game and having it as a keyset is probably my endgame.
