Any chance the 87u 55g will be back in the U.S.?
« on: Fri, 16 July 2010, 22:17:03 »
I'd like to get one, but I don't want to spend way over what elitekeyboards was charging when they carried them. Should I wait many years for these to surface again, or just get an hhkbp2.... even though i'd much rather have the 87u 55g...
Keyboards:
IBM Model M Space Saving Keyboard (Used), HHKB Pro 2 (White, Lettered), Realforce 87U all-45g in White, Filco Majestouch 2 TKL with Cherry MX Browns, Model F PC/ATNoppoo Choc Mini (MX Browns), Model F XT, IBM Model M 1397735 (bought NIB), (2) Siig Minitouch (GHSS) one with XM, one with complicated ALPs (modded),2 Dell AT101W, Cherry G80-11900HRMUS (modded with MX browns)

Pointing Devices:
Logitech G500, Evoluent VerticalMouse 3, Logitech G5, CST 2545W, Microsoft IntelliMouse Trackball, Logitech M570, Logitech MX revolution

Not that I have ordered from Elitekeyboards before, but I'm really grateful that there's this webstore that specializes in something we Geekhackers can look forward to.

Just a random search on popular Japan sites on Realforce products.
You can try Amazon.co.jp as well.

Standard Realforce ranges from 18,000 - 22,000 yen so the price difference isn't that much.
Average price for the 87U 55g is around 24,500 yen instead so Elite's price are pretty hard to beat, judging from the fact that he provides warranty as well.

If only his international shipping is less expensive. :)
