Hello, I'm Ghoul! I've been lurking on geekhack for a few months now and have finally decided to become more active. I originally felt pushed away by the massive amount of threads and also the UI of the site (and the fact that I generally only use Reddit for forum-based content).
I built my first custom mech a few months ago and quickly became addicted to the hobby. Being a UXUI/graphic designer I was immediately drawn to the idea of creating my very own custom keycap set with my ultimate end goal of eventually creating a group buy for my design. It seems that I have a ways to go before that dream becomes true, but I'm excited nevertheless. I will detail my idea below.
Keyboard:Case: Idobao ID80
Switches: Drop Holy Pandas V2 (lubed w/ krytox 205g0)
Keycaps: RED 139 JAPANESE ROOT JAPAN BLACK FONT CHERRY PROFILE DYE SUB KEYCAP PBT from KPRepublic
Stabilizers: Cherry plate mount (lubed with dielectric grease)
Keycap Idea:Profile: Cherry (Hopefully GMK)
Name: GMK Armor (prototype name)
Theme: The keycaps are inspired by Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. As such, the keycaps will feature the colors of his armor and the alchemical symbols on his shoulder and inside if his armor. I am also creating a variety of novelties to go along with the set. At the moment I have an icon of Alphonse's helmet and modified version of the alchemical symbol on the inside of his armor. I am currently also working with a friend of mine who is an industrial designer to design a 3D printable custom keycap of Alphonse's helmet that would go alongside the set.
Legends: The set will feature both english and japanese to pay homage to the show/manga. I am not entirely sure which language will be on top/bottom, but I'm planning for them to be diagonal. One legend in the top left and one in the bottom right. The legends will be dyesub as I've heard doubleshot is fairly difficult and I don't really have a preference.

Please leave me some feedback on the idea! I'd love to collaborate with anyone interested in this dream of mine
