Most of the times they are put there by spam-bots. Some spam-bots are written to get past certain filters.
.. and even if you use a "captcha" filter or other action that requires human thought, there are even some spammers that register manually.

Well that's how companies make money. Although the gimmicks at clickykeyboards make me sick somewhat; Brandon gives magical qualities to older model Ms (the only difference is that they're more pongy, probably due to *missing rivets*). He overprices them a lot. People still buy them though.

If you're a company like Filco in a sea of standard ergonomic microsoft rubber domes, you need to advertise. The good keyboard manufacturers have trouble making money since the keyboards are so expensive, dealers like bestbuy or futureshop don't want to carry them.

We have vendor forums. They serve as a great line of communication for vendor and enthusiast. I'd say the subject matter is more expression of interest in products, discussion of specifications, and problem discussion than advertising. This is a good tool. You should feel privileged to have this tool to use free of charge.
