That one's been posted a few times around here, but so far, it has been vaporware.  Hopefully, it comes out soon and gives Deck a little competition.  I don't think they will be able to match Deck's quality, though.

EDIT:  I just noticed the 8/1/2010 ETA.  Maybe we'll find out something next week.

My friend was really excited since hes been looking for cherry blues in a back-lit keyboard. I just wanted to re-post since it's coming out this Friday.

I cant help to wonder why they're using Blues in what seems to me a gaming keyboard.

Well, from what i can tell after browsing this forum for a while, there just seems to be a greater demand for the blues over the other cherry switches.

For typing and whatnot, yes, but for gaming they're not the greatest. The main problem is that the activation and deactivation point of the switch are at different places during the stroke, which makes it harder to fire off rapid keypresses in games.

The other thing is that the noise is just downright annoying when I try to game on a clicky switch.

I'm in the market for a good mech keyboard for gaming and typing as i've just stumbled upon this forum. I don't mean to threadjack but you don't think a clicky switch is good for my purposes? I was considering purchasing the geekhack space saver with white xm alps.

I'd probably steer away from the GHSS for gaming. I have one and the rollover is pretty bad, but it does make a fantastic typing keyboard. I use mine on the move with my netbook.

I'd probably lean towards a keyboard with Cherry Browns, or a Topre board if you can afford it. Blacks are great for gaming, but in my opinion, unless you are exclusively gaming, they aren't really worth it.

And just a voice from the other side of the park, it's not that Blacks are exclusively bad for typing. Some people like them more than Blues. It's just a preference thing. I like my Black switches a lot.

The blacks may be better for FPS games, but aren't the blues really good for RPGs like WOW?

I use mine for both, and don't really notice a difference in dodging in FPS games.  But I am sure some competitive gamer would notice, not someone that just fires up CoD4 every once in a while.  In WoW, you're restricted by the built-in global cooldown for your abilities, so key latency isn't an issue.

$170.

Who's taking the bite?

Funny how all manufacturers claim to be the "world's first xxx + xxx"
All I need to override that statement is to claim my product to be the world's first xxx + xxx + yyy + zzz"
Ha

there just seems to be a greater demand for the blues over the other cherry switches.

Availability :- Blacks > Browns > Blues > Reds (omitted Whites).
Cost :- Reds > Blues > Browns > Blacks.

Generally, human nature steers towards the most exclusive.
After trying MX Blues, I found the Click to be a little annoying and just cannot seem to adjust to the noise. I am using a Monterey switch keyboard which also have click switches, but these are far less noisy, more refined/demure. With all my Cherry keyboards, I use MX Browns even if I have to replace all the switches (due to format preferences), but the Arrow Keys, I always use MX Blacks stems with MX Brown springs. Each to their own preferences, so what's suitable may not apply to others.
Often outspoken, please forgive any cause for offense.
Thank you all in GH for reading.

Which are you saying is the Tank? The Deck Legend or this new Xarmor U9BL?

I am curious as I have a Deck Legend Ice (linear) arriving Friday.
