Hello Geekhack!

GB live February 1st to February 28th!

This keyset is heavily inspired by the IDE theme One Dark Pro.
I wanted to offer a Pbt set kind of discrete with a composition potential using the several kits available.

Why choose ePbt? Because the MOQ policy is way more flexible for child kits with less popularity like FR/BE/Norde/dvorak and so on. This set without this compatibility makes no real sense to me as i mainly made it for people not being able to get for example GMK Oblivion / Nord which are in the same tones / theme.

Delivering time will be confirmed at the end of GB by ePbt, we are targeting end of 2021.

DeskHero’s screenshot for the base kit doesn’t seem to include 1.5U supers but the pics here do. Which is correct? Also numpad kit has sublegends on DH but not here. I'm guessing they just have old screenshots.

But why was e.g. candykeys also showing an MOQ on the smaller kits if they will be made nonetheless? (I was kind of confused as I really need the spacebar kit for my build).

You can disregard that, probably just an artefact from their website formatting or some such. You'll get your spacebar kit dw.

In general GB runners are obliged to post updates on the GB thread here on GH.

Hi, I ordered the base kit and norde kit yesterday at candykeys (Germany). I hope you can answer some question. I tried to find out by myself, maybe iam not skilled enough to to a perfect search or read. Sorry for that.

1) I got a KeyChron K6. Am i correct those "be the one" are fitting 100%?

2) So i got the KeyChron i wonder if the "be the one" got some shine through at the white fonts or not. Tbh it is not necessary for me but would be good to know.

3) Candykeys sent me some hours later an email that my order went to "manufacturing". On their website thy state 2021-06-01 as ETA. Here in the forum i read something about end of year. What is the current real ETA?

4) GMK produces the keys. Does they still produce in Germany? If yes, are the CandyKeys Kits send directly to them? Meaning keys not around the world to be back in Germany again?

You can cover the board but you won't have Fn1, Fn2 and Backlight keys in this set. You'll have to use Fn instead of Fn1, Code instead of Fn2 and Delete/Print/Scroll instead of Backlight.

The keycap is totally opaque, you'll only see backlighting between the keys.

It isn't a GMK set, it is manufactured by EPBT in China. EPBT will ship to Candykeys and Candykeys will ship to you.

I debated for the first few weeks if I needed another keyset and sort of forgot for a bit.
Then I saw these were live on the final day of the GB.

I am so SO glad I did because I would be filled with regret had I not.

ePBT has been working on a new mold for reverse dyesub. This process has a different impact on the size of keycaps so it needed it’s own mold.

AFAIK the mold is close to done (4-6 more weeks).

Waiting for it myself so I can get some samples done.
