I've only been using it for a couple hours but so far it is the best keyboard ever produced in the history of the world.

I got the brown switches.

I've used a keyboard with blues and didn't care for either the stiffness or the pressure required, not sure which but the keypress felt too labored to me.

Browns are a freakin' dream.  I should have figured out how to afford one of these 2 years ago.

This should be true for all boards: A commitment to mechanical switches should be a commitment to quality.  Why waste your time otherwise?  The Das has been maligned on here for workmanship.  The Matias Tactile Pro has a great key switch but the recycled plastic feel of the chassis made up all of the difference and more.  And it squeaked when you pushed on it.  Weird.

The Filco Majestouch is none of that.  Think SMK-8x but heavier.   It's got brown cherry switches which are a dream to type on.  The chassis is SOLID; seriously, I could knock someone out swinging this thing.  It has high quality rubber feet that, combined with the weight, makes it feel like it is bolted to my desk.  It does not "scoot".

The space-saving design/wrap-around chassis (it has no "chin" or "forehead" to speak of) make it as small as you can make a traditional layout 104-key keyboard.

It is non-clicky, but it is not silent, and I still wonder if it might be too loud for work.  I've had people comment on my Cherry G84-4100 compact (cherry ml switches) before, and the noise level on this is a hint louder than that.

I would not consider this a portable keyboard.  It's too heavy to lug around on a daily basis.

1. Built like a tank.
2. Feels great - I type as fast on this board as on anything.
3. Looks great - semi-gloss black finish.
4. Sounds great - if you're into that sort of thing.
5. I haven't tasted it or smelled it yet, but so far it is a sensory delight.

My search for the perfect PC keyboard is over.

Andrew, I love the comments you're getting on your unboxing album. LOL.

Congrats and welcome to the club! I have the same board and have been seriously abusing it day in and night out for a year now and it is still flawless! Just in the past couple of weeks I've gone on to a Topre Realforce, but it'd be really hard for me to say the Topre is definitely better. Both feel great to me, but I'm sticking to the Topre for now because it's quieter.

My favorite:  "Looks like the keyboard that came with my Dell. Does it have magical power"

Yes, in fact, it does.
