Hello from B.C Canada
« on: Sun, 07 March 2021, 23:26:09 »
Hey Geekhack,

I've fallen down the rabbit hole... please pray for my wallet and for my relationship with my wife when I tell her how much money I'm planning on spending.

All jokes aside, I'm happy to find a new hobby to tinker with. I've order a few group buys already and am excited to build my first board. As a graphic designer, I'm also excited to see if I can help design something for this community in the future.

Hi ZingerKeys. Welcome to Geekhack.

Your wallet can't be saved, there may be hope for the rest.

What switches have you tried? Any particular interests yet? I'm sure you'll fit right in here with a skill like that.

Hey Maledited,

Thanks for the welcome. I've tried a few switches, but still waiting on a few things to come in to build my first board. I've joined the GB for KAM superuser and GMK birch and plan on finding boards to match those themes.

As far as design interest. I've got lots of learning to do, but I'd like to design a keyset and have some ideas for a custom board in the future. I'd also like to collab in anyway I can with logo projects for other keycap / board designers out here. Excited to be a part of this growing hobby. Thanks again for the welcome.

Those caps look great, although I'm no connoisseur myself.  :thumb:
