Razer Pro Type
« on: Sun, 16 May 2021, 16:27:03 »
Hello,

i just want some insight in a keyboard i am interested.
Its the Razer Pro Type.
https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards/razer-pro-type/RZ03-03070200-R3U1
I think i like it just from the looks. But i do not care for wireless. If i understand it, you can actually use the charging cord all the time.
Anyway, from a stylish point of view it looks nice and fits in my setup.
I just would like to know if its actually a dependable keyboard and the switches will last. I prefer not clicky.
Right now i have a Lexmark keyboard (its also somewhat fat) which is great but to loud in my current living environment.

Or is there something else i should consider, perhaps less expensive.

Thanks so much

Does Razer still runt their "Gamma" scam? Does the keyboard require their Synapse software to be configured?
If the answer is yes on either question, I would not get it.

Well, it says you may run it without but then you lose your programmable key function.
Anyway, maybe there is another keyboard that is better? LIke i said, i do not care about wireless really.

Thanks

soft-touch coating

Please don't buy this. Here's my story with one of their previous "soft-touch coating" keyboards.

I bought my wife one to use for work.  I got the matching mouse and pad to go along with it.  We have had no issues with it.

I will say that your theory with using the cable is slightly flawed.  You are able to charge the board while still using Bluetooth or the 2.4 dongle.  You are not able to simply plug in the cable and let it run.
